Chloe, Tash and Danny

My beautiful daughters have posed for me over the years, sometimes with delight, sometimes begrudgingly, but always with style and grace. This painting salutes these curated versions. In painting them as cut-outs I am emphasising the manufactured curation of self we often see on social media. The purity of the copper metal substrate is in juxtaposition to this and speaks of these women’s grounding and real uncensored selves as I know them. Danny, the family dog echoes this as he offers the viewer a very unceremonious view of his behind.
